Sleep

You know, if I could go to bed at a decent hour, my days would be so much better. But it seems that I always find something to do that keeps me up way past my bedtime. For instance, I was going through my old emails saving pictures people had emailed me that I wanted to keep and the next thing I know it's an hour later and I'm blogging instead. How did that happen?

My kids are a riot. My middle one in particular. I'll call him Tornado. He's going to grow up to be a stand-up comedian. He's very matter-of-fact and isn't afraid to tell you what is on his mind. Being 3 years old, he's got a lot on it. The other day he was out playing in the snow with the neighborhood kids and walked into one of their houses, took all his outerwear off, walked up to the dad and announced that he was hungry. Then he just walked to their refrigerator, opened it up and proceeded to examine its contents. No fear.

My baby girl is a pistol. She'll be a roller-derby queen dubbed "The Princess of Pain". If Tornado comes and sits on my lap, then she follows him up here and tries to push him off. If that doesn't work, she pulls his hair or bites him. At 20-months old, she's vicious. She doesn't do that with Daddy.

New Year's Resolution

I told myself at 12:01 AM this morning that I would eat nothing but healthy food for 1 entire year and see what would happen. I made it through breakfast. Lunch was okay but I did have leftover mashed potatoes in a creamy butter sauce. It was only a little bit. Then my mom brought out the flan. All over. We went to the movies today and I ordered a large popcorn and Sprite. I shared it with my family, but I still blew it. I ate Crawfish Ettoufee with white rice for dinner. I snacked on some of the kids' fries (my 19-month old just took her clothes off) as I cleaned their plates. I have the will power of a 3-year old in a candy store with a $10 bill. I guess I can start again tomorrow. Oh, I just had a large glass of home-made eggless Egg Nog. It's really good. I'm glad it's gone, though. Now I won't be tempted. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the 2.5 gallon bag of candy...Bad Santa, Bad Santa.

Motrin

Motrin makes me sleepy. It also makes my nose run. But I am glad that my headache is done. Who loses weight going through a Taco Bell drive-thru? I think my 3-year old is a genius. My 19-month old is the devil incarnate. Maybe it's her red hair...

If I could write a book...

...then I would fill it with all of the crazy/funny things that seem to always happen to me. I know I attract attention from God because he is constantly putting challenges before me. It's my approach to my "challenges" that make my life so worth living!
